ELLAH, A YOUNG CREATIVE ON OUR PATH

With most parents continuously searching for fun-learning activities for their young ones as a way of also reducing screen time, we were tasked in engaging this young one, Ellah, since 2021.

Ellah was 8 years old then, trying to man oeuvre DIY items, eager to create and always with a pair of scissors in her hands when in her room cutting stuff. And for sure our first one-on-one art session was filled with lots of ‘how can make abcd…’questions.“

I began doing art with Nkwaniliza in 2021 and I totally love my art teacher. I have so far learned how to create many crafts using my hands with simple items from the house which initially I thought was garbage,” said Ellah.

The crafting thirst was slightly quenched after our first 10 art sessions where we saw Ellah creating simple greeting cards, did some bracelet making, explored the beauty of paper crafts, untangled the puzzle of creating a DIY bouquet using yarn and so much more. Our faces were all filled with wide art-smiles.

“I enjoy doing art with Nkwaniliza anytime because my trainer is so patient and fun, I can now make cards, bookmarks, flowers, simple bead work by myself with minimal guidance,”Ellah added.

Nkwaniliza Crafts Africa couldn’t be more grateful to Ellah’s parents who have continually remained supportive of their daughter’s art lane through consistent follow-ups to ensure Ellah’s art star shines bright ahead.

Ellah’s interest to learn more each day, with her inquisitive and expressive nature keeps challenging us to curate and customize more art sessions for her sustainable growth in the creative arts all-round.

Our creative moments beyond indoor art training involve art gallery tours and art exhibitions to help her consume some more art , get inspired by others too.
